First off, the office was very responsive by phone and e-mail. They sent reminders of the upcoming date and time.
The crew that moved us was excellent; friendly, agreeable and respectful – it was much easier than we were expecting. They called before hand and arrived on time, despite our very rural location. They handled all our ‘treasures’ with care.
Then !, they went beyond the call, and arranged an additional truck on the same day when we added in even more things that we had second thoughts about – since we have been accumulating over the last 46 years. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

They were clean, clean cut, confident, worked diligently, efficiently, and smartly. Small talk among any of us was light and clean. They were very careful with everything. After payment, Nate presented us with a 'welcome home bag', which was a welcome super addition to the day, as any stressed person would appreciate. Paper plates, genius mini salt and pepper (usually folks have no idea where those are in the mess....), pens, ads, and the best cookies ever, a homemade family recipe. Listen... I have moved 9 times in my lifetime. I dread calling and working with movers. I know most will nickel and dime a move for every minute. As most, I work hard for my dollar so it is super frustrating for a 2 hour pack to take 4 hours!

Moving Company. Best move experience EVER! The team of three were awesome men! Jackson was my point of contact. He was courteous, informative and punctual. On the day of the move they called ahead to coordinate arrival. They supplied all the moving gear, helped with the build of tables and bedframes, politely asked where items were to be placed! They didn't waste time with idle conversation or "pit stops". It was a local move, but even so they did it under 3 hours for a 2 bedroom household! I will use them again in the future. After countless moves over 26 years in the military, I can positively state that this move from Kerrville to Duson, La. Was the most perfect and professional of them all.
From the first contact with Jackson, the owner to all out interaction with the ladies of the packing crew, and the young men who loaded, moved and unloaded all our “stuff “; everyone was extremely friendly and professional. We all became friends and even our little dog Butterbean thought he was part of the crew as well.
There was intermittent showers during the unloading, but the crew took it all in stride, and managed get everything unloaded and placed where it was needed safely and absolutely nothing was broken or damaged during the entire process .
PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS describes every aspect of this move and all the friendly people of this company. Cost of the move was less than quoted by bigger companies, so if you are considering a move across the street or anywhere in the country, you will be miles ahead if you give RIVERHILLS MOVING and get them to handle everything.

When I let them know that I wasn't concerned about scratches or scrapes or any of that because I just needed the stuff moved quickly, their response was, it is our concern though. I wasn't even there when they loaded my stuff in a storage and when I opened the door later to check, I was like okay this is how it's done. These guys are good y'all.

They had knowledge and were able to research quickly regarding special pieces to make sure the parts of the grandfather clock were secure. I called and asked for a last minute move if possible. I explained that I had a 2 bedroom apartment with all my furniture recited to the call taker. I was very relieved they were able to squeeze me in the least minute. The crew showed up early which put us in a bind and we go off to a rocky start trying to figure out how to proceed. The crew tried to deal with the situation and we got a good amount of furniture moved in the time allotted. While I will make sure to coordinate better if I were to move again, I would call RiverHills Moving again. Brandon, a member of the crew was very interested in explaining what they were doing and also went far above and beyond to help make the move happen. I was not able to get all my belongings moved but if I had planned better and I know to coordinate more efficiently with the moving company in the future. The owner took it upon himself to call me and was willing to do whatever was needed to make me completely happy and he did so. I was impressed with he fact he did call. There are businesses out there who don't care what the customer has to say once they get paid. They showed up with a trailer that was way too small for all my belongings and when I told them it wasn’t big enough they still tried to shove everything in there. Many things were broken and scratched by the time it made it to the final destination. I reached out the owner and tried to make it right. It took over a month to get some of my money back, and what he sent me wasn’t even the amount we agreed on. Do not recommend this company.

Extremely disappointed! After confirming my parents’ time-sensitive move into assisted living, River Hill Moving simply didn’t show up.
I was left in a ridiculous bind— the hours crept by and no one answered the phone or responded to my increasingly frantic voicemails. Thankfully, M&D Moving came to my rescue, showing up at 9pm to transport my folks’ belongings.
River Hill has still not called me to explain or apologize. I can’t imagine a worse experience.
