Protection and handling

Stock fills most of the truck. Heavy categories go into smaller cartons, fragile goods are wrapped and marked on two sides, and cartons stay grouped by destination zone so they unload where they will be shelved. Your fastest sellers can load last and come off first. Gondolas and cases come down after the stock is out, marked by bay.

Merchandise cartons are a separate track. Your staff chooses the SKU groups and records quantities before the boxes close; we label and move the cartons to the receiving zones you assign. We do not change the stock count or decide which assortment belongs on a shelf. Your visual merchandiser sets the final display, and your payment provider activates checkout equipment. Can we keep trading at the old store while the new one is being set?

Often, if the new space is ready early. We can move backroom overstock, spare fixtures, and seasonal stock first, so your merchandiser starts setting the new floor while the old store keeps selling. The last trading day then covers only the sales floor, checkout, and what is left on the shelves. Each landlord's rules still set the hours.

How should we mark merchandise boxes so SKUs reach the right bay?

Have your inventory lead define a SKU range or item group for each carton, plus its source bay and destination zone. Give us the zone map used at the new store. We can pack and mark cartons to that scheme and unload them by zone; your staff reconciles the quantities before stocking.

What if the mall permits loading only after shoppers leave?

Send the mall's written move rules and the approved dock or corridor window. We can discuss an evening or weekend slot on request, then sequence cartons and fixture sections so the crew uses only the route management allows. We also ask whether the property needs a Certificate of Insurance before the move.

What should we do about supplier deliveries due during the move?

Ask suppliers to pause shipments or redirect them to the new address after its receiving date. Your staff should receive and sign for freight at either store and check it against purchase orders. We keep inbound deliveries out of the moving load so they do not mix with counted stock that is already packed in SKU-marked cartons.
